Stop an HMI server and prevent remote clients from starting it

To restore an HMI server, the target HMI server you are overwriting cannot being running.
To stop an HMI server and prevent remote clients from starting it:
  1. Select
    Start > Windows System > Control Panel
    . In Control Panel, click
    System and Maintenance
    > Administrative Tools
    , and then double-click
    Services
    .
  2. In the list of services, right-click
    Rockwell HMI Framework
    and select
    Properties
    .
  3. In the
    Rockwell HMI Framework Properties
    dialog box, click the
    General
    tab, and then set the
    Startup type
    to
    Disabled
    .
  4. Restart the computer.
    TIP:
    To restart the computer remotely (for example through Remote Desktop), open Command Prompt, type
    shutdown /r
    , and then press
    Enter
    .
