Value (string input object)
A read-write connection. Assign a tag to this connection.
At runtime the operator can type a value into the string input object on a display and download the value to the tag’s data source. The operator can also issue an upload command that will read the tag's value from the data source and display in the string input object.
TIP:
When you create a string input object on a display, you can check the Continuously update check box in the String Input Properties dialog, to have the value in the string input object updated whenever the value of the tag changes at the source.
