Range properties
Use range properties to define pools of IP addresses that can be used to permit unsecure communication within the policy model.
IMPORTANT:
Add IP addresses only for devices that are intended to originate connections. Limit the usage of this method as it deteriorates the level of security of the system.
Property | Description |
|---|---|
Name | The name of the range. The name is required and must be unique. |
Description | An optional description for the range. |
Start IP Address | The first IP address of the range. |
End IP Address | The last IP address of the range |
Zone | The security zone to which the range is assigned.
TIP:
If you add a range from within the
Zone list, the range is automatically assigned to the currently selected zone. |
