HART Device Information view parameters
The
HART Device Information
view includes these parameters.Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Tag | Indicates the HART Field Device location and purpose in the plant. |
Message | Indicates additional information about the HART Field Device, such as who last calibrated the device, or reference to documentation. |
Descriptor | Indicates additional identification information that is used by the plant or asset management software. |
Date | Indicates the date, which is shown in the format selected for your computer from the Control Panel using the Regional and Language settings. |
Write Protect | Indicates whether the HART Field Device is write protected. Valid values are Yes or No .If a device is write protected, some parameters cannot be changed using HART communication. |
Manufacturer ID | Indicates the manufacturer name (for example, Allen-Bradley or Endress + Hauser) or the numeric value for the manufacturer. Use the Company identification code table as a guide. |
Device Type | Displays the device type for Endress + Hauser devices, or a numeric value for all other manufacturer devices. Device Type indicates the manufacturer’s type of the device, or product name. For example, Cerabar S pressure transmitters from Endress + Hauser have Device Type 7. |
Device ID | Displays the identifier for the connected HART device. If the device is offline or the channel is not HART enabled, no information appears. |
Final Assembly Number | Indicates the number that identifies the materials and electronics that comprise the field device. The number is normally changed when upgrading electronics or other components in the field. In some instances, this number references a drawing number. |
Status | Indicates the Field Device status of the selected channel. Status includes
|
Diagnostic Code | Indicates the diagnostic code information for each channel (up to three error values). If the device is functioning properly, OK is displayed. If the device is not working properly, numeric error values appear. To see the additional status information in the format sent by the HART field device, send CIP Service 16#4C using a MSG instruction as described in the device's User Manual. |
PV | Includes the settings for these Primary Variable (PV) attributes:
In HART, the PV is signaled on the 4 to 20 mA analog channel. It can also be read back using HART messages. In many HART devices, the relationship between the PV and the analog signal can be adjusted. |
Revisions | Includes the settings for these revision attributes:
|
SV Units | The units of the Secondary Variable (SV). |
TV Units | The units of the Tertiary Variable (TV). |
FV Units | The units of the Fourth (Quaternary) Variable (QV). |
Refresh | Updates the information displayed in the HART Device Information view. |
Set Device Information | Select to configure the tag, message, and descriptor for the HART Field Device. Tip : A message displays on the screen if the device's tag, message, or descriptor does not match the values stored in the project. |
