Select the units for the PV range

Use
Select PV Units
 to select
PV units
 for the
PV Upper Range
and
Lower Range
 values.
Prerequisites
  • Make sure that these two parameters in
    Device definition
     are set to correct values:
    • Input Data
       = Analog and HART by Channel
    • Configure HART Device(s)
       = Yes
To select the units for the PV range
  1. On the tab for the device, expand
    Channels
    , and then expand an individual channel.
  2. Select
    HART Command
    .
  3. In the
    HART Command
     view, select (
    ...
    ).
  4. In
    Select PV Units
    , specify these parameters:
    • Category
      Category of the unit, such as power, electrical, and temperature. If there is no suitable category,
      Enter ID Value
       is assigned.
    • PV Units
      Unit of measure associated with the category. Not available when
      Category
       is set to
      Enter ID Value
      .
    • PV Units ID
      Unit ID associated with the unit. When
      Category
       is
      Enter ID Value
      , a value between 1 and 255 is assigned. The default is 32.
  5. Select
    OK
     to confirm and save the changes.
