Export trends from FactoryTalk VantagePoint

To export trends from
FactoryTalk VantagePoint
  1. Go to
    <FactoryTalk Historian SE installation package>\Redist\OtherComponents
    .
  2. Copy
    MigrationTool.zip
     into the
    FactoryTalk VantagePoint
     server computer and extract
    MigrationTool.zip
     to the desktop.
    TIP: The user signing in to the
    FactoryTalk VantagePoint
     server must have administrator permission to access the
    FactoryTalk VantagePoint
     database.
  3. In the
    MigrationTool
     folder, double-click
    WebTrendMigrationTool.exe
    .
  4. On the
    WebTrend Migration Tool
     page, select the tab.
    Ensure that
    FactoryTalk VantagePoint
     is running.
  5. Enter the
    FactoryTalk VantagePoint
     database instance name.
    Find this name in
    VantagePoint Manager
     >
    Configuration
     >
    IncuityStore Database
     >
    Server
    .
  6. Select
    Load trends
    .
    All trends from
    FactoryTalk VantagePoint
     are listed in the table.
  7. Select the trends that you want to export, and then select
    Export as JSON
    .
    WebTrend does not allow duplicate trend names.
  8. In the
    MigrationTool
     folder, choose a folder to save the exported JSON file.
  9. Once the export is completed, click
    target folder
     to find the JSON file and relevant logs.
    We do not recommend modifying this JSON file, because it may corrupt the file format and cause the migration to fail.
