Points view parameters (output devices with No Load Detection)

The
Points
view for output devices with No Load Detection includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Point
Displays the point number to which this configuration applies.
Output State During
Program Mode
Determines the behavior of each output when the controller transitions program mode.
The available values are:
  • Off
    (default)
  • On
  • Hold
Output State During
Fault Mode
Determines the behavior of each output when communication with the controller fails.
The available values for are:
  • Off
    (default)
  • On
  • Hold
No Load Detection
Turns on and off
No Load Detection
. Disabling the No Load diagnostic is useful for unused points.
Latch Faults
Determines how a status bit acts after the cause of the fault is removed.
  • If
    Latch Faults
are set (selected), alarm bits stay faulted if an alarm occurs. The Status bits are returned in the controller’s input tag for the device. To clear the fault, select
    Reset
    for the point.
Latching is useful for tracking transient or momentary faults.
  • If
    Latch Faults
are reset (cleared), alarms reflect the present state.
Tip
: Status LEDs are not affected by latched alarms.
Auto Restart
Defines the action of the output during a short circuit or overload.
  • Clear the
    Auto Restart
checkboxes to shut off the output.
  • Select the
    Auto Restart
checkboxes to make the outputs continually try to turn on.
Tip
: A fault occurs if you turn on an output when no field power is applied to it.
Point Fault
Reset
Clears latched alarms.
