Device Information view parameters
Parameter | Description |

Identification | Displays information that identifies the device:

Major/Minor Fault Status | Displays whether there is a major or minor fault. For fault details, see the
diagnostics dialog. |
Internal State | Displays the device's current operational state. Possible values:
If the wrong device is selected from the Select Module dialog, a
hexadecimal value is shown. A textual description of this state is only given when
the provided device identity is a match with the actual device. |
Configured | Displays Yes or No indicating whether the device was configured by
the owner controller connected to it. Once a device is configured, it stays configured until the device is reset or
power is cycled, even if the owner drops connection to the device. This applies only to I/O devices and does not apply to adapters, scanners,
bridges, or other communication devices. |
Owned | Displays Yes or No indicating whether an owner controller is
currently connected to the device. |
Device Identity | Displays whether the physical device matches or mismatches with the configuration
in the Overview view.Match - The physical device agrees with what is specified in the
Overview view, and all of these must agree:
Mismatch - The physical device does not agree with what is specified in
the Overview view.Device Identity does not take into account the Electronic Keying or
Minor Revision settings in the Overview view. |
Protection Mode | Displays whether the device is in Protection Mode. Protection Mode helps prevent
unauthorized configuration changes that can affect system behavior and cause
unintended and unforeseen changes. |
Diagnostics | Accesses the Diagnostics dialog which contains diagnostic information. |
Refresh | Retrieves and displays the latest values from the device. |
Reset device | Initiates a reset operation on the device, which returns the device to its
power-up state by emulating the cycling of power. IMPORTANT: Reset device is only allowed when the device is not in
Protection Mode. |
