On Thursday, February 11, Rockwell Automation sponsored a live reading of “I am a Boy of Color”  by children’s author and diversity, equity and inclusion advocate Deanna Singh from Milwaukee. After Singh and her family read the book, they discussed their writing process and views on changing the narrative in literature to better represent diverse voices. Afterwards, Rockwell provided 50 signed copies of Singh’s books to the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County.

The activity was a part of Rockwell Automation’s tribute to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. To learn more about how Rockwell supports community efforts, visit the Sustainable Communities page on Rockwell’s 2020 Sustainability Report Online Content Hub.
