Settings and controls on the main page

Use the main page to view and manage machines and activations, and to perform administrative tasks. Select the task icons in the taskbar across the top of the page to carry out tasks. Select the view icons on the left side of the page to view machines and activations.
This table describes the icons on the taskbar.
Icon
Description
Find Machines
Opens the
Find Machines
dialog box. Use the dialog box to find and group machines.
Scan
Performs a scan and refreshes the machines and activations information.
Export
Exports a list of machines, activations, Add-On Profiles (AOPs), or the log to a .csv file.
Switch Server
Selects the server for viewing. You can also use this icon to add a server to the list.
Schedule
Sets the schedule for automatic scanning of all machines. Enter the interval, in days, at which scans should occur.
Account
Opens the
Account
dialog box, where you can sign in to the
Rockwell Automation
Product Compatibility and Download Center (PCDC) and the Updater server. You can also switch users on the server.
Download Location
Sets the location for saving downloaded files.
Preferences
On the
Preferences
dialog box, use the
About
tab to view details for the installed version of
FactoryTalk
Updater.

Displays the list of machines in the selected group.
Activations
Displays the list of activations on the machines in the selected group.
Logs
Displays the Updater log.
Groups
Lists the configured groups, plus
All Machines
. Select a group to display the machines or activations in the group.
