Memory Card configuration page
A memory card is primarily used to back up project files and store data logs and recipe files.
The
Memory Card
configuration page is available for L20E controllers. Use the page to do the following actions:- Back up project files to the memory card.
- Restore project files from the memory card.
- Open the controller diagnostics view to compare the memory card settings in the memory card and the project.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Diagnose | Opens the controller diagnostics view. The button is available when the controller is online. |
Load on power-up | Specifies the memory card behavior when the L20E controller is turned on. Options include:

Overwrite Ethernet settings | Specifies whether to overwrite the Ethernet settings using the settings in the memory card. The behavior of Overwrite Ethernet settings varies with the selected option for Load on power-up :
The Modbus server state settings are overwritten no matter the checkbox is selected or not. |
Include variable values upon backup and restore | Determines whether to include project and logical values of variables when backing up or restoring a user program to or from the memory card. By default, the checkbox is cleared. |
Enable encryption on user backup project | Turns on encryption when backing up controller projects. By default, the checkbox is cleared. |
Starts backing up user programs and L20E controller project files to the memory card. The button is available under the following conditions:
