General configuration page

Use the general configuration page to:
  • Add a description to the controller.
  • View the controller's name, vendor name, catalog number, and product lifecycle information.
  • View the controller project version.
  • Determine whether to download the source code along with the project to the controller.
When using the microSD card for project backup and restore, the name of the controller is used as the folder to contain the project (For example, default folder name for project backup is Micro820 but if the name is changed to MyMachine, then the backup project is in folder MyMachine). After renaming the controller, it might be required that the ConfigMeFirst.txt UPD setting be used to specify the location of the project. After Controller faults such as 0xF001 and 0xF005, the controller memory and consequently the controller name is cleared, so the ConfigMeFirst.txt UPD setting is used to specify the backup project folder name to avoid the controller attempting a restore operation from the default folder name, which might not exist or might have the wrong project.
