2080-TC2 plug-in module

2080-TC2 is a 2-channel thermocouple input that extends the inputs for the controller. After adding a 2080-TC2 plug-in module:
  • Five global variables are added to the controller project.
  • In
    Project Organizer
    , under
    Plug-in
    , a
    2080-TC2
    node is created.
  • The 2080-TC2 configuration page contains the following nodes. Select a node to view and configure the corresponding settings.
    • Overview
: Displays the device image, catalog number, revision, product type, and slot number. Selecting
      Device definition
      opens the
      Device definition
dialog to change the slot and revision, and to configure whether to fault the controller when the plug-in module is absent.
    • Variable
: Lists the added variables with their variable names and data types.
    • Channel <x>
: Configures the settings on channel
      <x>
      , where
      x
represents channels from 0 through 1.

Setting
Description
Thermocouple type
Specifies the thermocouple type of channel
<x>
.
Each thermocouple type has a minimum and maximum temperature range.
Values are:
  • Type K
  • Type J
  • Type T
  • Type N
  • Type B
  • Type R
  • Type E
  • Type S
The default setting is
Type K
.
Data update rate
Specifies the thermocouple reading update rate for channel <
x>
. The larger the data update rate, the faster the temperature data update.
Options are:
  • 470 Hz
  • 242 Hz
  • 123 Hz
  • 62 Hz
  • 50 Hz
  • 39 Hz
  • 33.2 Hz
