2080-SERIALISOL plug-in module

The 2080-SERIALISOL plug-in module is supported when connected to any slot of an L20E, L50E, or L70E controller.
The 2080-SERIALISOL plug-in module has an isolated serial port that supports the following protocols:
  • Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) serial
  • RS232/485 communication with Modbus Remote Terminal Unit (RTU)
  • American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII)
  • Distributed Network Protocol 3 (DNP3)
After adding a 2080-SERIALISOL plug-in module:
  • In
    Project Organizer
    , under
    Plug-in
    , a
    2080-SERIALISOL
     node is created.
  • The 2080-SERIALISOL configuration page contains the following nodes. Select a node to view and configure the corresponding settings.
    • Overview
      : Displays the device image, catalog number, revision, product type, and slot number. Selecting
      Device definition
       opens the
      Device definition
       dialog to change the slot and revision, and to configure whether to fault the controller when the plug-in module is absent.
    • Serial Port
      : Configures the settings on the Serial Port configuration page.
