Bit definitions for 2085-IF4 and 2085-IF8

The following table lists the bit definitions for status values that are used with the 2085-IF4 and 2085-IF8 expansion modules.
Bit definitions for 2085-IF4 and 2085-IF8 expansion modules
Item
Description
CRC
CRC error
Indicates a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) error in received data. It is cleared upon the receipt of valid data.
All channel fault bits (S
x
) are set.
DE#
Data Error
These bits are set (1) when the enabled input channels are not reading the current data. The previous input data is sent to the controller instead.
GF
General Fault
The bit is set (1) when any of the following occurs.:
  • RAM test failure
  • ROM test failure
  • EEPROM failure
  • Reserved bits
All channel fault bits (S#) are set.
HA#
High Alarm Overrange
The bits are set (1) when the input channel exceeds a preset high limit specified in the selected configuration.
HHA#
High High Alarm Overrange
The bits are set (1) when the input channel exceeds a preset high high limit specified in the selected configuration.
LA#
Low Alarm Underrange
The bits are set (1) when the input channel falls below the configured low alarm limit.
LLA#
Low Low Alarm Underrange
The bits are set (1) when the input channel falls below the configured low low alarm limit.
PU
Power Up
The bit is set (1) after a power on and is cleared when the module receives good configuration data.
The bit is set when an unexpected Microcontroller Unit reset occurs in Run mode. All channel fault bits (S#) are set. The module remains connected but without configuration data.
The PU and channel fault bits are cleared upon downloading a valid configuration.
S#
Channel Fault
The bits are set (1) when the respective channels are open, experiencing data errors, an underrange, or an overrange.
