Power the Supplemental Power Tap

The port on the underside of the power tap is for a 24V DC input from an external power supply. This port is for use with a 3-terminal connector where the:
  • terminal represents the 24V DC (+) source voltage
  • terminal represents the common (-) terminal of source voltage,
  • represents the functional earth ground reference for a 4-wire Ethernet side for EMC improvement
  1. Insert the 3-plug terminal connector into the Input 24V DC port on the underside of the power tap.

    IMPORTANT:
    The power wires that are used for the power supply connection must be rated for at least 70 °C (158 °F).
