Update a project library
Any of the libraries used in a project can be updated to incorporate additions or modifications to library components.
If
Newer Library Version Available
is enabled in Application Code Manager
settings, indications appear next to objects that can be updated.To update a project library
- In theSystem Viewpane, expandUsed Librariesto see the library branches. Library versions are shown in parentheses.
- Right-click the library branch to be updated and then clickUpdate.TheUpdate Used Librariesdialog is displayed.
- A tab is shown for each library in the selected library branch. Libraries with available updates will have different revisions.If multiple libraries are included in the library branch, click the tab for the library to update. Each library tab has three subtabs.
- InUpdate Library Revision From <revision> To, click the dropdown arrow to select the new revision number for the library.
- Click theLibrary Changessubtab to review the parameter changes for the new version.
- Click theObjects to Updatesubtab to define which objects in the library are to be updated.
- UnderUpdate, select the checkbox to update the project objects that reference this project library.
- Clear the checkbox for each object that should not be updated.
- Click theRelink References to Removed Itemssubtab and select the parameters and subparameters to relink to the objects affected during the update.
- ClickFinish.
