Add an Alarm Group subobject
FactoryTalk® Alarms and Events
objects have subobjects that represent the Alarm Groups
configured in the FTAE system. In FactoryTalk Alarms and Events, alarms can be assigned to
groups. A group represents a set of alarms with a common association. An alarm group can
contain other groups organized in a hierarchy (FTAE only supports to five levels deep).To add an Alarm Group subobject
- In theSystem Viewpane, expandHMI, expandAlarmsand then click theFactoryTalk Alarms and Eventsobject to which the subobject will be added.
- In the object parameters pane, select theAlarm Grouptab.
- Right-click in the white space below the objects shown in the tab. ClickAdd New.Repeat this step to add all of the Alarm Group that requires configuration.
- An alarm group hierarchy is achieved by associating one alarm group to another using the ParentAlarmGroupID parameter.
- Click the appropriate column and modify the parameters as needed.
- ClickApply Changesto save the parameter configuration.
Group subobjects
Group subobjects into categories based on the data columns.
- Double-clicking a column heading updates the display in the parameters tab to group items with the same value together.
- Right-click anywhere in the parameters tab and selectReset Groupingto return to the default display.
