View DeviceNet port diagnostics
If you select a DeviceNet module, you can view information about the module's DeviceNet
port by selecting the
Port Diagnostic
tab. The Port Diagnostic
tab provides
the following counter information about your module:Network Configuration:
Counter Name | Description |
Network address | Address of the Node on the network. |
Baud Rate | Current baud rate for the selected device. |
Diagnostic Counters:
Counter Name | Description |
Bus-Off Count | Number of times the device has been off-line due to a high number of network errors. |
Arbitration Loss Count | Number of times a message transmission was attempted, but not sent due to a lower priority. |
Overload Count | Number of times the device has detected an overload condition on the network. |
Bit Errors | Number of times the monitored bit value in a message was different than the sent bit value. |
Stuff Errors | Number of times the device detected a bit stuffing error on the network. |
Ack Errors | Number of times the transmitted message was not acknowledged at the link level. |
Form Errors | Number of times a fixed-form bit field contains one or more illegal bits. |
CRC Errors | Number of times the device calculated a different CRC value than the transmitter of the message. |
Rx Messages Lost | Number of times a received message has been lost due to an overwrite by a newer message. |
Warning Errors | Number of times that the error counters in the device have reached the warning level. The warning level indicates an approach to the Bus-Off condition. |
Rx Error Level | Receive error counter. This counter increases when a receive error is detected, and decreases when valid packets are received. |
Tx Error Level | Transmit error counter. This counter increases when a transmit error is detected, and decreases when a packet is successfully transmitted. |
