Ethernet/IP driver configuration

This hardware driver applies to devices that support the EtherNet/IP protocol (for example, the Allen-Bradley PLC-5, SLC 5, and 5820-EI processors, the ControlLogix devices, and the soft controller used with RSLogix5). When you select an
Ethernet/IP driver
to add or edit, the
Configure driver: <driver name>
configuration dialog box opens.
TIP:
When browsing a local subnet:
  • If two or more IP addresses are configured for a multihomed network adapter, only the current IP address being used by the network adapter is selectable in the
    Configure driver: <driver name>
    configuration dialog box.
When browsing a remote subnet:
  • Directed broadcast support must be enabled on all of the router interfaces connected to the remote subnet.
  • Directed broadcast support can be limited to just logical port 44818 (decimal) of the router interfaces connected to the remote subnet using an Access Control List (ACL).
