Step 1. Define and configure alarms in the third-party OPC UA server
For OPC UA alarm monitoring, alarms originate from the third-party OPC UA server. For more information on how to define and configure alarms, see the user document of your OPC UA server.

to add the OPC UA Connector to the application.- Runand open or create either a Network application or a Local application.FactoryTalk View Studio
- Expand theFactoryTalkExplorer window, and then right-click an application or area.
- ClickAdd New Server >OPC UA Server.

- UnderGeneral, specify the endpoint URL to the third-party OPC UA server.
