Diagnostic information

FactoryTalk Diagnostic log: The user can access the FactoryTalk Diagnostic log to see event messages related to the software operation. Access from a diagnostic tab in the FactoryTalk Linx Gateway configuration user interface.

FactoryTalk Diagnostic Counter Monitor: Permits the user to see operation data as the communications services are running. This separate software tool is installed with FactoryTalk Linx Gateway and can be started from the Windows Start menu.

FactoryTalk Linx predefined @diagnostic tags: When a controller or device shortcut is created, a set of diagnostic tags is automatically generated and updated during the normal operation of the software. These tags can be accessed by other software like FactoryTalk View SE and FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client, trigger FactoryTalk Alarms, or delivered through FactoryTalk Linx Gateway to external clients through one of its egress interfaces, OPC DA, OPC UA, MQTT, DDE, and Excel RTD.

FactoryTalk Resource and Status service: Permits the data from FactoryTalk Diagnostic Counter Monitor to be accessed by other software like FactoryTalk View SE and FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client, trigger FactoryTalk Alarms, or delivered through FactoryTalk Linx Gateway to external clients through one of its egress interfaces, OPC DA, OPC UA, MQTT, DDE, and Excel RTD.
