Best practices for run-time security

Follow these best practices when securing run-time actions:
  • If clients need different privileges, configure
    FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
     on multiple computers, one per set of privileges.
  • Use one data server per area. (This only applies to network scope)
  • Select the
    FactoryTalk
     software, not an area when configuring the scope for
    FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
    .
  • Use areas to limit both read and write access to sensitive data.
