Sign in to access and use all the features of Historian WebTrend.
When first signing in to Historian WebTrend, you may meet two kinds of notifications. See the following table to view the cause and resolution.

  • The user is not a Windows-linked FactoryTalk user.
  • Add the user as a Windows-linked FactoryTalk user in

  • Users have not been assigned the roles of Viewer, Editor, or Administrator.
To sign in to Historian WebTrend
  1. Open a browser, and enter either of the following URLs:
    • https://
      <hostname>
      :7080/webtrend
      The
      <hostname>
      is the name of the computer with the Historian WebTrend server installed.
    • https://
      <IPv4 Address>
      :7080/webtrend
  2. On the authentication page, enter the Windows-linked FactoryTalk username and password.
  3. Select
    Login
    .
    Historian WebTrend authenticates through
    FactoryTalk Directory
    by retrieving the port number from
    C:\ProgramData\Rockwell\FTWeb\ft-web-config.json
    . If this JSON file is removed or the port number changes, restart the computer. If Historian WebTrend and
    FactoryTalk Directory
    are installed on separate computers, you must restart both computers.
