Merge an unassigned request item to an existing configuration item

When a device makes a request for an IP address, the request will appear on the
Unassigned
tab if there is no corresponding item in the
Configuration
list with a matching MAC address. If the configuration list contains an item that you want to assign to the device, you can merge the new unassigned device’s information with an existing item in the configuration list.
To merge an unassigned device request to an existing configuration item
  1. On the
    Unassigned
    tab, select an unassigned request item, and then click
    Add to Configuration
    .
  2. In the
    Add Item
     dialog box, click
    Link to existing item in configuration list
    .
  3. In the
    Select Linked Items
     dialog box, select the target item, and then click
    Yes
    .
  4. Click
    OK
    . The merged item will be shown on the
    Configuration
    tab.
