Commission from range dialog box

Use the
Commission from range
dialog box to automatically assign IP addresses from a contiguous user defined set, as devices make requests.
Properties
Description
Available IP addresses
Shows the starting and ending IP addresses available for use. The configured set must align with the subnet setting in the Network Information under the
Settings
tab.
Configure IP auto-assign list
Defines the range of IP addresses that will be assigned. The range must be within the selected subnet mask.
Tip:
  • If an IP address appears in the configuration list as having already been assigned, it will be skipped in
    Commission from range
    . For example, if we have an IP address (192.168.11.20) included in the Configuration list, when user start commission from range (192.168.11.1-192.168.11.100), the IP address (192.168.11.20) in the
    Configuration
    list will be skipped since the IP is already assigned in the
    Configuration
    list.
  • When enable the option
    Validate IP before assignment
    , the tool will check and skip an IP addresses from the range that are detected as being used by active devices on the network.
Remaining IP Amount
Indicates the number of IP addresses available for assignment from the user specified range.
IP address for the next device
Indicates the IP address to be provided to the next device making a BOOTP/DHCP request.
Add to Configuration list
Used to retain IP and MAC address assignments by automatically adding them to the
Configuration
list.
