Enable diagnostics for open circuit detection

Enable open circuit detection for each point on the device. An open circuit can be off a terminal, off the load, or a broken wire.
Prerequisites
  • Make sure that the connection is configured for Data.
To enable diagnostics for open circuit detection
  1. On the tab for the device, select
    Points
    .
  2. In the
    Points
     view, in the
    Enable Diagnostics for Open Wire
    column, select the checkbox for each point to enable open circuit detection.
    TIP:
    Select or clear all checkboxes in a column at once by selecting or clearing the checkbox in the header of each column.
  3. Select
    OK
     to save the changes.
