I deleted the Authenticated Users group from the directory

If the
Windows
Authenticated Users
group is deleted from the
FactoryTalk
Local Directory or
FactoryTalk
Network Directory, you might find that users cannot log on to the
FactoryTalk Directory
without being prompted for a user name and password.
Use these steps to add the
Authenticated Users
group.
To add the
Windows
-linked group, "Authenticated Users":
  1. Start
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
    .
    Go to
Rockwell Software > FactoryTalk Administration Console
    .
  2. At the prompt to select a
    FactoryTalk Directory
    , select
    Local
    or
    Network
    .
  3. If prompted, log on using an administrator user name and password.
  4. In
    Explorer
    , expand
    System > Users and Groups
    . Right-click
    User Groups
    , and then choose
    New >
    Windows
    -Linked User Group
    .
  5. In
    New
    Windows
    -Linked User Group
    , select
    Add
    .
  6. In
    Select Groups
    , select
    Advanced
    .
  7. In the advanced
    Select Groups
    dialog box, select
    Find Now
    .
  8. In the list of
    Windows
    accounts, select
    Authenticated Users
    , and then select
    OK
    .
  9. In
    Select Groups
    , select
    OK
    .
  10. In
    New Windows-Linked User Group
    , select
    Create
    .
When finished, the
FactoryTalk Directory
will recognize all
Windows
authenticated user accounts that are part of that
Windows
group.
