Applications I want to work with are missing
Possible causes and solutions:
- Currently logged on to the incorrectFactoryTalk Directory. Different applications are hosted on differentFactoryTalk Directory.If the applications are:
- Distributed across multiple computers on a network, log on to aFactoryTalk Network Directory.
- Restricted to a stand-alone system on the local computer, log on to aFactoryTalk Local Directory.
- Client computer is pointing at the incorrect Network Directory Server.If working with applications located on a Network Directory Server, but either no applications, or the wrong applications are visible to your computer, configure the location of the Network Directory Server computer on your network.
- InFactoryTalk Administration Console, selectTools > FactoryTalk Directory Server Options.
- At the prompt, log on to the network directory with a Windows Administrator account.
- InFactoryTalk Directory Server Location Utility, selectBrowse.
- InFactoryTalk Directory Server Configuration, selectRemote computer, then specify the name of the computer to use as the network directory server, and selectOK.
- Logged in user account does not have appropriate security permissions.If your user account does not have the appropriate security permissions, you may be able to log on to aFactoryTalk Directorybut unable to view or work with applications. For questions about security permissions, check with your localFactoryTalksystem administrator.
