"OPC UA Connector is out of memory" appears in FactoryTalk Diagnostics Log
Possible cause and solution:
- TheFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector service is out of system resources. Themay display the error "Insufficient memory to continue".FactoryTalk DiagnosticsLogUseWindowsEvent Viewer to determine if theFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector service crashed or was closed due to insufficient system memory.UseWindowsResource Monitor to determine how much CPU capacity is used by theFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector service. If theFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector service uses 100% of host CPU capacity, move the service to a host with higher CPU performance. For best performance, use high power Server hosts instead of embedded controllers.UseWindowsResource Monitor to determine how much Memory capacity is used by theFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector service. If theFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector service uses 100% of host Memory capacity, move the service to a host with higher Memory capacity. For best performance, use high power Server hosts instead of embedded controllers.UseWindowsResource Monitor to identify services that may be competing for system resources with theFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector service. Disable unnecessary services on theFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector host, or move theFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector service to a dedicated host. For best performance, use high power Server hosts instead of embedded controllers.Spread theOPCUA Server load across multipleFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connectors. In the same application, create a newFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector hosted on another host. RemoveOPCUA Servers from theFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector host that is out of system resources. Then, add theOPCUA Servers to theFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector on new host. Update tag browse paths in theFactoryTalkclient application to use the newFactoryTalk LinxOPCUA Connector path.
