Error 0x8004303B: Cannot back up the FactoryTalk Directory

Possible cause and solution:
  • This error might occur when installing
    FactoryTalk Services Platform
     multiple times on the same computer, or when running the
    FactoryTalk Directory
     Configuration Wizard multiple times on the same computer. The backup file name for the
    FactoryTalk Directory
     is a random file name that is generated automatically. On rare occasions, the same randomly generated file name is used twice, preventing the
    FactoryTalk Directory
     Configuration Wizard from successfully completing its configuration.
    To correct this error, run the
    FactoryTalk Directory
     Configuration Wizard again. This generates a new random name for the backup file.
