Troubleshoot connection
If the OPC UA connection status displays
Disconnected with server
, do one of the following to troubleshoot.- Reinitialize KEPServer Enterprise:
- From the notification area, right-clickKEPServerEnterprise, and then selectReinitialize.
- Configure KEPServer Enterprise firewall inbound and outbound rules:
- In theStartmenu, enterFirewall & network protectionto turn off the Windows firewall.
- In theWindows Securitydialog box, selectAdvanced settings.
- In theWindows Defender Firewall with Advanced Securitydialog box, selectInbound Rules>New Rule.
- In theNew Inbound Rule Wizarddialog box, selectPort>Next>TCP.
- Enter the URL port number (for example, 49370) for the specific remote ports and selectNext.
- EnterNamefor the rule, and then selectFinish.
- Perform Step c-f to configure the outbound rules.
- Turn on Windows firewall.
- Reinitialize KEPServer Enterprise.
- Trust FactoryTalk Linx OPC UA Connector in KEPServer Enterprise:
- Reinitialize KEPServer Enterprise.
- From the notification area, right-clickKEPServerEnterpriseand selectOPC UA Configuration.
- In theOPC UA Configuration Managerdialog box, selectTrusted Clients>FactoryTalk Linx OPC UA Connector.
- SelectTrust>Close.
- Reinitialize KEPServer Enterprise.

To establish connection, you must trust the certificate in both FactoryTalk Linx OPC UA Connector and KEPServer Enterprise.
