Troubleshoot connection

If the OPC UA connection status displays
Disconnected with server
, do one of the following to troubleshoot.
  • Reinitialize KEPServer Enterprise:
    • From the notification area, right-click
      KEPServerEnterprise
      , and then select
      Reinitialize
      .
  • Configure KEPServer Enterprise firewall inbound and outbound rules:
    1. In the
      Start
      menu, enter
      Firewall & network protection
      to turn off the Windows firewall.
    2. In the
      Windows Security
      dialog box, select
      Advanced settings
      .
    3. In the
      Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security
      dialog box, select
      Inbound Rules
      >
      New Rule
      .
    4. In the
      New Inbound Rule Wizard
      dialog box, select
      Port
      >
      Next
      >
      TCP
      .
    5. Enter the URL port number (for example, 49370) for the specific remote ports and select
      Next
      .
    6. Enter
      Name
      for the rule, and then select
      Finish
      .
    7. Perform Step c-f to configure the outbound rules.
    8. Turn on Windows firewall.
    9. Reinitialize KEPServer Enterprise.
  • Trust FactoryTalk Linx OPC UA Connector in KEPServer Enterprise:
    1. Reinitialize KEPServer Enterprise.
    2. From the notification area, right-click
      KEPServerEnterprise
      and select
      OPC UA Configuration
      .
    3. In the
      OPC UA Configuration Manager
      dialog box, select
      Trusted Clients
      >
      FactoryTalk Linx OPC UA Connector
      .
    4. Select
      Trust
      >
      Close
      .
    5. Reinitialize KEPServer Enterprise.

TIP:
To establish connection, you must trust the certificate in both FactoryTalk Linx OPC UA Connector and KEPServer Enterprise.
