Configure a dual channel 1784-PKTX(D) driver (Windows Server 2012)

When you are running
FactoryTalk Linx
and
RSLinx Classic
on the same computer (Windows Server 2012), and your
FactoryTalk Linx
or
RSLinx Classic
configuration consists of a dual-channel 1784-PKTX(D) driver, you configure the driver for both
FactoryTalk Linx
and
RSLinx Classic
.
TIP:
This applies only to the dual-channel 1784-PKTX(D) driver. The single-channel 1784-PKTX driver can be configured in only one
RSLinx
product at a time.
To configure the 1784-PKTX(D) driver for
FactoryTalk Linx
and
RSLinx Classic
  1. If you do not already have a 1784-PKTX(D) driver in
    FactoryTalk Linx
    , then right-click
    FactoryTalk Linx
    , click
    Add Driver
    , and select a 1784-PKTX(D) driver from the list.
    The
    DH+
    Driver Properties
    or
    DH485 Driver Properties
    dialog box opens.
  2. Verify the information in the dialog box fields is correct, and click
    OK
    .
  3. Start
    RSLinx Classic
    , and click
    Communications > Configure Drivers
    .
    The
    Configure Drivers
    dialog box opens.
  4. From the
    Available Driver Types
    list, click the 1784-PKTX(D) driver
    ,
    and then click
    Add New
    .
  5. In the
    Add New
    RSLinx Classic
    Driver
    dialog box, enter a driver name or use the default name. Click
    OK
    .
    The
    Configure 1784-PKTX/PKTXD
    dialog box opens.
  6. Select the driver type from the
    Value
    list, and click
    OK
    .
