Settings of the FactoryTalk Linx Configuration Import Export Tool

Choose to Import or Export shortcuts and drivers.

Select the

FactoryTalk Linx

server that contains the shortcuts and drivers you need to export, or select the

FactoryTalk Linx

server that you need to add shortcuts and drivers in.

Tip:

The servers are limited to the two

FactoryTalk Linx

instances running on the same workstation as the Configuration import/export tool.

Select the CSV file that contains the

FactoryTalk Linx

configuration.

Specify a folder location and filename to save the exported CSV file.

Select to import or export both shortcut and driver configurations.

Select to only import or export shortcuts.

Select to only import or export drivers.

List all the shortcuts or drivers that are available for import.

Select the checkbox next to each item to choose the set to be imported or select the checkbox at the top of the list to select all items.

List all the shortcuts or drivers that are available for export.

Select the checkbox next to each item to choose the set to be exported or select the checkbox at the top of the list to select all items.

Click to set all the options to their initial values.

Click to start the Import process.

Click to start the export process.

After selecting this option, all the existing items will be retained but new items will be added.

This option is only available for import.

After selecting this option, all the existing items with the same name will be replaced and new items will be created during importing shortcuts or drivers.

This option is only available for import.

After selecting this option, all existing shortcuts and drivers will be deleted when the import starts, new shortcuts and drivers will be created during importing.

This option is only available in the import.

To open and view the log file.

Shows the progress of the import and export process.
