Add an address block (ControlNet)

Add an address block to a ControlNet scanner configuration in order to specify the location and size of a memory block within the ControlNet Scanner's I/O table.
TIP:
You cannot read data from a controller that has not been specified in an address block.
To add an address block for a ControlNet I/O configuration
  1. Click the
    I/O Configuration
    tab on the
    ControlNet Scanner Properties
    dialog box to show the ControlNet Scanner and the input and output nodes.
  2. Right-click the input node or output node and then click
    Add Address Block
    to display the
    Address Block Properties
    dialog box.
  3. Specify the
    Start Word
    by entering the beginning of the memory block in the I/O table. Enter the input address or output address matching the
    RSNetWorx
    scanlist fields
    Input Address
    or
    Output Address
    .
  4. Specify the
    Length in Words
    field, which is the number of words of the memory block in the I/O table. This value should correspond to the scanlist generated using
    RSNetWorx for ControlNet
    .
    TIP:
    The
    Access
    field is read-only. It indicates whether the address block is in the input table or the output table.
  5. Click
    OK
    to accept the values and close the dialog box.
  6. Click
    OK
    on the
    I/O Configuration
    tab to save the configuration and close the dialog box.
