Alarm mail rule configurations
With the SMTP policy configured, you can configure the alarm mail rules.
These rules use priority and scope as criteria for email notifications about active alarms
within an application. When these alarms are triggered, email notifications containing the
alarm details are sent to the designated recipients.
TIP:
Alarm emails use the default language of the application.

Overview | Lists all the rules and their properties. An asterisk (*) indicates that there are unsaved changes. |

Read-only properties | Shows the properties of each rule. Recipient emails highlighted in red means they are not valid. |
Edit button ![]() | Goes to the rule properties pane for you to edit. |

Name | Sets the name of the rule. |
Description | (optional) Sets the description of the rule. |
Disable this rule | Disables the current rule. This check box is cleared by default. If you decide to reactivate a disabled rule, clear this check box. All the properties are retained. |
Alarm Priority | Sets the alarm priorities for triggering email notifications. By default, alarms of all priorities can trigger notifications. |
Alarm Scopes | Sets the alarm scope for triggering email notifications. By default, alarms of all scopes can trigger email notifications. |
RECIPIENTS | Sets the recipients who will receive email notifications. |
