Update the FactoryTalk Alarms and Events database

By updating the
FactoryTalk Alarms and Events
 database, the Database Update Utility:
  • Merge the ConditionEvent and TrackingEvent tables into the AllEvent table.
  • Create the AllEvent, Diagnostic, or Messages table if any of them doesn't already exist.
To update the database
  1. In the
    Database list
    , select the database, which:
    • Includes ConditionEvent and TrackingEvent tables you want to merge.
    • Doesn't include the AllEvent, Diagnostic, or Messages table that you want to create.
  2. Click
    Migrate
    .
    A record is created on the default dbo.FTAEInstance with the detailed update results.
    TIP:
    To view detailed information of the database update operation, see the log file located at your Temp folder. You can type
    %temp%
     in the Address Bar to open the Temp folder.
