Setting
Description
Add and remove columns in the event list
The columns across the top of the event list represent some of the data fields in the Alarm and Event Log Viewer. All of the data fields are shown in the details pane, but you can select the ones you want to display in the event list.
Reposition columns
To change the order in which columns are displayed in the event list, click a column name in the list, and then click the
Move Up
or
Move Down
buttons to move the column name up or down in the list.
Change column headings
To change the heading of a column, select the column name in the
Heading text
list and then type a name in the text box.
This name is displayed in the heading for the column in the event list and in the details pane. The text you type in the text box does not replace the original name of the column in the column list, or on the
Display Filter
tab.
Change column widths
To change the width of columns in the event list, select the column name in the
Width
list, and then type a number in the text box.
For example, increase the width of the column if you expect the text in the column to be long or vice versa.
Change column alignment
In the
Align
list, select the alignment in which you want the information to appear in the column.
Change the format of information displayed in columns
In the
Format
list, select the format in which you want the information to appear in the column.
