Subscribe to events based on source (Banner)

Event sources can be areas, servers, or groups from which to monitor alarms. When specifying the event sources that the specific alarms subscribe to, browse the area and provide the alarm names to monitor.
To subscribe to events based on source
  1. Open FactoryTalk View Studio.
  2. Open the display that includes the Alarm and Event Banner object.
  3. Right-click the Alarm and Event Banner object, and then click
    Properties
    .
  4. Click the
    Event Subscriptions
     tab.
  5. In the
    Event subscription
     list, select a subscription.
  6. Under the
    Event sources
    list, click
    Browse
    .
  7. In the
    Alarm Source Browser
    , select the area that contains the alarms you want to monitor in the list on the left.
  8. Double-click the alarms in the list on the right to add them to the
    Selected alarm sources
     list.
  9. Click
    OK
    .
  10. Under the
    Event sources
     list, click
    Add
     and type the area name.
    TIP:
    If you subscribe to specific alarms and you configured the
    Scopes
    list, verify that the
    Scopes
    list includes the areas that contains those alarms.
  11. Press
    Enter
    . You cannot subscribe to the same alarm more than once.
    TIP:
    To change the name of an alarm, click the alarm name, click
    Edit
    , type a new alarm name, and then press
    Enter
    .To remove an alarm, click the alarm name, and then click
    Remove
    .
