Alarm and Event Banner Properties - Status Bar tab
How do I open the Alarm and Event Banner Properties dialog box?
Properties are modified during design time. To open the
Alarm and Event Banner Properties
dialog box:- Open FactoryTalk View Studio.
- Add an Alarm and Event Banner object to a display.
- Right-click the Alarm and Event Banner object, and then clickProperties.
To change the contents of the status bar configure the settings in the
Status Bar
tab of the Alarm and Event Banner Properties
dialog box. There are two areas on the Status Bar that can be customized:
- Information panel. This panel is on the left side of the status bar. It contains the status indicators that provides information about the connection status to the servers, the alarm queue, the total number of alarms in different status, and the number of faults for alarms.
- Buttons responses. These buttons are on the right side of the status bar. Buttons can be used to acknowledge or shelve alarms or to control the state of the alarm bell.
For both areas you can control whether the item is included in the status bar display, configure a custom tooltip, or change their order of display.

To change the height and font used in the Status Bar, click the
General
tab, and then make your changes in the Status Bar
area.The following table provides details about the information panel settings on the

Show Panel column | Each item in the list represents a panel displayed on the left side of the status bar. The Alarm Queue and Refresh items are always selected. Where two items are selected by the same check box, one of the two items is always visible. |
Icon column | The icons shown in this column are for display only. They cannot be changed. |
Tooltip column | Defines the descriptive text associate with the items on the status bar during runtime. For example, in a default configuration during runtime, the Server Status tooltip is composed of Connected or Disconnected tooltip text followed by a colon and then the area and server name, resulting in the following tooltip text: Connected: Line1Area:Packaging Server. |
Move Up or Move Down buttons | The order of the items from top to bottom in the dialog box corresponds to the order of the panels from left to right in the status bar. |
