Alarm and Event Banner Properties - General tab

How do I open the Alarm and Event Banner Properties dialog box?
Properties are modified during design time. To open the
Alarm and Event Banner Properties
dialog box:
  1. Open FactoryTalk View Studio.
  2. Add an Alarm and Event Banner object to a display.
  3. Right-click the Alarm and Event Banner object, and then click
    Properties
    .
To change the appearance of the Alarm and Event Banner, configure the settings in the
General
tab of the
Alarm and Event Banner Properties
dialog box. These properties are used to define how operators can interact with the alarm list, the behavior of the status bar and to specify the
FactoryTalk View
command used to display the Alarm and Event Summary.
Consider the following guidelines when configuring the appearance of the Alarm and Event Banner:
  • Choose color for text and background that contrast well with each other.
  • The height of the Alarm and Event Banner object is automatically adjusted, based on the font size and number of rows shown in the
    Alarm List
    .
  • The button size on the Status Bar also determines the font size of the text displayed in the status bar. Use larger icon sizes for touch screen operation.
