New User Group
How do I open New User Group?
- InFactoryTalk Administration ConsoleExplorer, expand theFactoryTalknetwork or localSystemfolder until theUser Groupsfolder is visible.
- Right-click theUser Groupsfolder, point toNew, and clickUser Group.
Create a new user group to simultaneously administer security permissions for a number of users, or user groups. Change a user's group memberships to quickly change the user's accessible resources. This allows secure access to the
FactoryTalk
system independently of the user's access levels in Windows
.
TIP:
To create a group account that is linked to a user group account in
Windows
, add a Windows-linked user group. The group account's information in FactoryTalk
cannot change because this information is inherited from Windows
