Add a FactoryTalk Resource and Status server

Follow this procedure to add a FactoryTalk Resource and Status server to an application.
Prerequisites
  • In the FactoryTalk Administration Console
    Explorer
     pane, go to
    System > Policies > Product Policies > FactoryTalk Resource and Status Server > Feature Security
     to obtain the security permissions.
To add a FactoryTalk Resource and Status server
  1. In the
    Explorer
     window, right-click an area or application icon, and then select
    Add New Server > Resource and Status Server
    .
  2. In the
    FactoryTalk Resource and Status Server Properties
     dialog, set the server properties for these tabs:
    • General
    • Process
    • Device Status
  3. Click
    OK
     to save your changes.
    To modify FactoryTalk Resource and Status server properties, right-click the server, and then select
    Properties
    . In the
    FactoryTalk Resource and Status Server Properties
     dialog, edit the configurations, and then select
    OK
    .
