Change the name of a FactoryTalk Directory server computer

The
FactoryTalk
 network directory server acts as an electronic address book, to help computers find one another on the network.
When the name of the computer hosting the
FactoryTalk
 network directory server is changed, update both the network directory server and all client computers connected to the server.
To change the name of a
FactoryTalk Directory
 server computer
  1. On the computer hosting the
    FactoryTalk
     network directory server, change the computer name in
    Windows
    .
  2. On the same computer, run the
    FactoryTalk Directory
     Configuration Wizard
     and then follow the instructions on the screen to add the new computer name to the
    FactoryTalk
     network directory.
