Enable HMI Emulation Mode

By default, all data item values in all active groups are updated at the same time. Use
HMI Emulation Mode
to switch between groups at periodic intervals, only updating data item values for the shown group. This simulates the activity of an HMI application that is changing graphic displays.
To enable
HMI Emulation Mode
, have more than one group of data items. Change the rate at which
HMI Emulation Mode
switches among groups of tags. The default rate is 10 seconds.
IMPORTANT:
Adding or removing groups or data items while
HMI Emulation Mode
is running is not available. To modify groups or data items, disable
HMI Emulation Mode
.
To enable HMI Emulation mode
  • In
    FactoryTalk Live Data Test Client
    select
    Group
    >
    HMI Emulation Mode
    .
    A check mark indicates that
    HMI Emulation Mode
    is running.
