FBD program elements
Element	Description
Variable	Elements that store and process information.
Instruction block	Instructions including operators, functions, and function blocks (including user-defined function blocks).
Input reference	Connection point for the input variable that the function block uses to perform its operations.
Output reference	Connection point for the output variable that the function block uses to perform its operations.
Variable	Connection point for the input or output variable that the function block uses to perform its operations.
Description	Free-format text that can be inserted anywhere in the FBD program. Descriptions are for documentation purposes only and are not acted upon by the program.
