FBAxis - General tab

Use the
FBAxis<x> - General
configuration page to do the following actions:
  • Rename the FBAxis.
  • Pair the FBAxis with a pulse train output (PTO) axis when a PTO axis is part of the controller configuration.
  • Specify the motion encoder type when the FBAxis is paired with an encoder.

Setting
Description
Axis name
Specifies the name of the feedback axis.
The axis name must be unique and cannot be the same with an existing variable name, data type, or reserved word.
The naming conventions of an axis name are as follows:
  • Consists of letters, numbers, and underscores.
  • Consists of up to 40 characters.
  • Starts with a letter or underscore.
  • Ends with a letter or number.
  • Does not contain consecutive underscore characters.
Pairing with
Specifies with which axis the FBAxis is paired.
Options are as follows:
  • Encoder
    - default
  • Axis(x)
When a motion feedback axis is set, it is read-only and cannot be changed until you cancel the pairing.
When a PTO axis that is paired with the FBAxis is deleted, the

selection changed to the default setting

Encoder type
Specifies the motion encoder type that is used to send feedback information for the FBAxis.
Options are as follows:
  • Quadrature X1
  • Quadrature X2
  • Quadrature X4

is the default type. The options are available when you set
