Embedded Edge Compute Module

An Embedded Edge Compute module is a chassis-based module that directly communicates with PLCs. It provides read and write access to all PLC tags through both the backplane and the front Ethernet port 1.
Embedded Edge Compute modules bridge the gap between informational technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) by enabling direct control monitoring. It empowers edge computing applications, allowing data collection, analytics, and custom application building right at the network edge.
Embedded Edge Compute modules feature connectivity options that provide communication paths to REST API, OPC UA and MQTT to create a collaborative environment and enable interoperability at OT and IT levels, bringing the IT/OT convergence to life.
NOTE: See Embedded Edge Compute Module | Allen-Bradley (rockwellautomation.com) for further information on this device.
