Configure Calorific Values

The Calorific Values are automatically populated depending on the configured Resource types. Users cannot add new Calorific Values manually and only edit is allowed.
Edit Calorific Values
Perform the following steps to edit a Calorific Values:
  1. Under any site, go to
    Configuration
    tab.
  2. Click the
    Calorific Values
    tab. The list of available Calorific Values is displayed.

    NOTE:
    Calorific Values details are auto-populated based on the Resource types. Users cannot add or delete Calorific Values. Users can only edit the Calorific Values.
  3. On the required resource/utility type, click the [] icon.
  4. In the
    Edit Parameters Configuration
    dialog box, edit the Calorific value.
    TIP:
    Calorific Value (Heating Value)
    : The calorific value defines the amount of energy released when a unit of fuel is completely combusted. In FactoryTalk Energy Manager, calorific values are used to convert fuel quantities (such as natural gas, oil, or hydrogen) into standardized energy units (such as kWh and MJ), enabling consistent energy consumption, cost, and emissions calculations across different energy sources.
  5. Click
    Save
    .
    Edit Parameter Configuration
    The "
    Updated successfully
    ” message is displayed.
