Fault Code Lookup view

Use the
Fault Code Lookup
view to view detailed information about a fault code when a fault is generated for the Multifunctional Access Box with CIP Safety over
EtherNet/IP
. This information includes a description and potential remedies for the fault.
When the device is online and a device fault occurs with the Multifunctional Access Box, a fault code displays in
Controller Tags
.
When the device is online and a system fault occurs with the Multifunctional Access Box, a fault code displays in the
Connection
view.
Depending on the nature of the fault, the device's status indicators might also illuminate.
The Multifunctional Access Box is composed of the following hardware components (with status indicators):
  • Lock device
    : This component provides the locking function and monitors the position of the locking mechanism. The lock device includes a
    DIA
    status indicator which, when illuminated (red), indicates a fault situation.
  • Handle assembly
    : This component controls the engagement and disengagement of the bolt with the lock device.
  • Bus device
    : This component includes integrated control elements and varies by device type as defined in the
    Device Definition
    view. When a fault situation occurs, these status indicators indicate the following:
    • Lnk1
      and
      Lnk2
      : When illuminated (red), indicates a major network interface controller (NIC) fault.
    • Net
      : When illuminated (flashing red and green), indicates a network error.
    • Mod
      : When illuminated (flashing red), indicates a recoverable fault and, when illuminated (red), indicates an unrecoverable fault.
      TIP:
      The lock and bus devices are pre-assembled, plate mounted, and shipped together.
